Common Issues and Solutions

1. Wallet Connection Failures

Symptom: You click "Connect Wallet" but nothing happens, or the modal closes immediately. Solution:

  1. Ensure you have a supported wallet extension installed (MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom).

  2. Refresh the page using Ctrl + F5 (Hard Refresh).

  3. Check if you have multiple wallet extensions active. Conflicts often occur between MetaMask and Phantom. Disable one temporarily and retry.

2. Transaction Reverted (Slippage Error)

Symptom: You sign a transaction, but it fails with an "Execution Reverted" error. Cause: Prediction market odds move rapidly. The price likely changed beyond your allowed slippage tolerance between the time you saw the quote and the time the transaction was mined. Solution:

  1. Open the "Settings" gear icon in the trade panel.

  2. Increase your Slippage Tolerance from 0.5% to 1.0% or higher.

  3. Retry the trade.

3. "Insufficient Liquidity" Notice

Symptom: You try to buy $10,000 worth of contracts, but the button is grayed out. Cause: The combined liquidity across all three venues (Polymarket, Kalshi, Limitless) is not deep enough to fill your order without causing excessive price impact. Solution:

  • Reduce your order size.

  • Use a Limit Order instead of a Market Order. This allows market makers to fill your order over time at your desired price.

4. SOT Balance Not Updating

Symptom: You bought a position, but your "Portfolio" tab still shows 0. Cause: Indexing lag. The blockchain transaction has succeeded, but our off-chain database has not yet indexed the event. Solution:

  • Wait 30 to 60 seconds.

  • Check your wallet address on BaseScan. If you see the transaction is successful there, your funds are safe. The UI will update shortly.
